Wyoming Secretary of State provides an online business search facility that enables users to search for businesses that are registered in Wyoming.

If you know the filing ID for the business you can also search the Wyoming business search database by this.

There should only be a single record displayed in the results as the filing ID is unique to the business. The results display some information about the business which includes the filing name, filing ID, status, standing and filed date. More information about the business is available by clicking on the business name highlighted in bold text. Additional information includes type, fictitious name, addresses, filing history, and more as listed above in search by filing name.

If you are starting a business in Wyoming you will need to register it with the Secretary of State’s office. The steps below can assist you in registering your business:

1. You will need to explore which business structure you want to operate under as this determines how you will set up your business and legally operate, for example as a limited liability company.

3. All business entity types can register a business with the Wyoming Secretary of State with a filing fee of $100 for all profit making organizations plus $2 online processing fee.
