- Choose which business structure best suits your business as this will be needed when you register your business.
- Register your business with the Secretary of State for Nevada using their online registration forms which will require you to set up a SilverFlume login if you don’t have one. How can I get a business license in Nevada?
All businesses in Nevada are required to have a State Business License which is issued by the Nevada Secretary of State. The business licenses cost $200 for most entities except corporations at $500, and these need to be renewed annually. You may also need a sales permit and you will need to check with the State Department of Taxation if this is required.
You may also need to apply for local licenses with your city or county office where you are located. The local city or county website should have the forms or details for these licenses or permits. Industry or occupational licenses or permits may be required at the state or federal level.
